As we get older, the skin naturally becomes thinner, drier, and less able to retain moisture. Fine lines can become more noticeable, particularly around the eyes, forehead, cheeks, and mouth.
This is why a rich moisturizer applied before bed can make mature skin look softer, smoother, and more hydrated by the following morning.
However, viral posts sometimes promise that a homemade balm can erase 70 years of wrinkles in five minutes. That is not realistic. A cream or balm cannot permanently remove deep wrinkles overnight. What it can do is temporarily hydrate the surface of the skin, making fine lines look less noticeable and giving the complexion a softer appearance.
If you want a simple homemade nighttime moisturizer, this recipe is an easy option.
