The Truth Behind the “Secret Japanese Formula” Claim for Restoring Vision

  • by

A dramatic image circulating online claims that a “secret Japanese formula” can restore eyesight in just 15 minutes, allowing a 68-year-old person who was supposedly blind to see again. The image shows an elderly woman holding a bottle of green liquid alongside dramatic “before” and “after” pictures of an eye.

The claim is attention-grabbing, but there is no reliable evidence that a homemade drink or secret formula can restore lost vision in 15 minutes or permanently reverse blindness.

Vision loss can have many different causes, including cataracts, glaucoma, retinal diseases, diabetic eye disease, infections, injuries, and problems involving the optic nerve or brain. Because these conditions are fundamentally different, there cannot be one simple drink that safely treats all of them.

The photograph itself also cannot establish that the “before” and “after” images represent the same person or that any improvement was caused by the liquid shown. Images shared on social media can be digitally altered, staged, or presented without the medical context needed to understand what actually happened.

If you are looking for a simple eye-health drink, however, you can make a nutritious beverage using ordinary food ingredients without claiming that it will cure blindness.
